Executive Planning Committee

Target Contributor
Representatives on WEI's Executive Planning Committee should be at a high enough level within their utility that they can assess the overall educational needs for their line of business; can speak on behalf of their utility regarding these needs and can influence participation by their employees in WEI to meet these needs. Typically this means being at a Vice President or Assistant GM level or higher in their organization.

Your Role on the Executive Planning Committee
As a member of the Executive Planning Committee, you are called upon to identify your company's learning and leadership development needs and communicate them to the Western Energy Institute. Working with your industry peers, you design learning venues and prioritize the topics that are to be presented. You have the opportunity to mentor program leaders assisting them in building and leading a meeting. As a primary contact for your business line, you help identify key contributors for WEI's database and promote WEI meetings within your company. You may serve as a Mentor to the chair of a Program Delivery Team.

    • Fall EPC Meeting in conjunction with WEI's Annual Meeting

    • Mentors should attend the meeting in support of their chair

Responsibilities
  • Identify and prioritize "hot" industry topics for meeting offerings
  • Group meetings into Pods as appropriate
  • Recommend or assign individuals to leadership positions
  • Mentor to Program Delivery Teams*
  • Carry out WEI Board initiatives
  • Report annually to the Board of Directors
