Program Delivery Team Chair

Target Contributor
The level of person serving as chair in WEI ranges from supervisors to very senior positions at any utility. This level is typically defined by the common peer group within a particular discipline.

Your Role as a Chairperson
As Program Delivery Team Chair, your role is to lead in the planning, coordination, and delivery of a focused Western Energy Institute meeting. You'll serve as a director, motivator, and visionary. You will network with industry peers to determine meeting objectives and goals. Working with WEI staff, you'll facilitate planning discussions, promote participation, assist in meeting management, and ensure appropriate succession.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate program objectives
  • Assist in defining the target audience
  • Identify additional Program Delivery Team Members
  • Coordinate the meeting process, including planning, conducting and follow-up, as needed
  • Develop agenda with input from committee members and past delegates
  • If the meeting is part of a POD, you will work with other PDT chairs in developing combined sessions
  • Provide focus and direction as facilitator of the meeting
  • Identify and/or assign reporting needs
  • Mentor a Vice Chair as appropriate
  • Encourage participation
