A: The Western Energy Institute (WEI) is a regional association serving the electric and gas industries, both public and private, throughout the Western United States and Canada . Our mission is to educate, develop skills and leadership, and facilitate information exchange and networking among employees of member companies. Q: Where do I find information about meetings?

To find meeting dates, locations, and other details, click on the PROGRAMS button on the left of the page. To access more detailed information about a meeting, simply click on the information button below the meeting's location.

If you need more information about the meeting, please contact the WEI Liason named on the Program Details page of the meeting.

Q: How do I register for a meeting?

From our website, www.westernenergy.org:
  • Select "programs" button on left
  • Choose the "Register Now" link below the location of the meeting you want to register for or click on the "Register Now" link within the events information pages.
  • Choose your company name from the drop down list. If your company is not in the list, choose to register as a non-member
  • Follow the subsequent instructions. Login with your username and password to expediate the process

Q: How do I know if I am a member of WEI?

A: Energy Company Members are listed under the OUR MEMBERS button at the left of the page. Service Company Members are listed under the SERVICE COMPANY INVOLVEMENT button at the left of the page. Or call 503-231-1994.

Q: Who leads WEI (Chairman, Executive Committee and Board)?

A. Our Organizational Chart can be found by selecting the ABOUT US button at the top of the page. Our Board of Directors Roster is in the Committees section. Click on the COMMITTEES button on the left and choose Board of Directors to view.

Q. How do I find members' websites?

A. Member websites are linked from our site. Select the OUR MEMBERS button on the left and choose the member list you would like to view. Locate and click on the highlighted company name to go to their website.

Q. As a service company to the gas & electric industry how might I get involved?

Q. Where is the Western Energy Institute office located?

A. WEI is located at 827 NE Oregon Street in the Lloyd Center district of Portland, Oregon. (for directions, visit mapquest, or call us at 503-231-1994.) Metered parking is available on the street or at the nearby Liberty Center lot (one hour validation). You may also choose to take MAX Light Rail (blue line or red line train, NE 7th Ave stop). Q. How can I find a colleague?

A. If you are a member, try our online directory. Select the MEMBERS ONLY button at the top of the page. If you don't know your login information, click on the "forgot your login" link and enter your email address. Your password will come to you via that email address.
