SRP Donates $10,000 to Youth at Risk Program
Salt River Project has contributed $10,000 to Youth at Risk, a premier provider of mentoring programs for homeless and at-risk children and youth. The grant will fund the New Pathways Mentoring Program focusing on at-risk teens in the Phoenix metro area.

The nine-month program offers individual and group mentoring, professional coaching, educational workshops and monthly team-building activities coordinated to teach youth goal-oriented behaviors.

"We are proud to sponsor a program that introduces expectations and possibilities into the lives of these young people and gives them a guiding hand to help them reach their full potential," said SRP Vice President David Rousseau.

Youth at Risk has offered the New Pathways Program for almost 20 years and has served over 2,000 teens. The agency pays careful attention to measurable results and has been able to demonstrate its success in setting young people on a positive path.

"We are proud to report our ability to reduce delinquent behaviors in teens," stated Linda Lyman, Youth at Risk President/CEO. "While delinquency is decreased, the New Pathways Program also increases goal-oriented behaviors. The skills we teach, and the opportunity to practice those behaviors, sets teens on a path to future success."
