Jeffery Peltola Appointed CFO, Cecilia Weldon Named Chief Administrative Officer at LADWP The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power has announced the advancement of two veteran employees to key senior management positions. Jeffery L. Peltola, Manager, Budget, Rates and Energy Efficiency Group will become Chief Financial Officer; Cecilia K. T. Weldon officially becomes Chief Administrative Officer after having served in an acting capacity for the last ten months.
“Both Jeffery and Cecilia bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to their respective positions, each having faithfully served LADWP’s customers for more than two-and-a-half decades. I have every confidence in their abilities and I am extremely proud to make these appointments,” said David Nahai, LADWP Chief Executive Officer and General Manager.
A 25-year veteran of the Department, Jeffery L. Peltola will head the Financial Services Organization. In his capacity as Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Peltola will direct and oversee the Department’s finance, accounting, risk management, financial planning and internal audit divisions. He began his LADWP career as an engineer and has spent the last 14 years focused on financial management, becoming Budget Director in 1997. In 2003, he was promoted to Manager of Budget, Rates and Energy Efficiency. Cecilia K. T. Weldon’s position as Chief Administrative Officer encompasses providing administrative, customer service, and general services support to the Financial Services, Water, and Power Systems. In her 28-year Department tenure, she has also served as Assistant General Manager of the Water System and Chief Information Officer. She began her LADWP career in 1981 as a civil engineer. |
