Mary Kipp Appointed VP & Chief Compliance Officer at El Paso Electric The El Paso Electric Board of Directors has appointed Mary E. Kipp to serve as Vice President, Legal and Chief Compliance Officer. In that position, Ms. Kipp will be responsible for oversight of El Paso Electric’s legal affairs.Ms. Kipp has 15 years of experience as an attorney and has spent most of her career practicing energy law. Most recently, she served as EPE’s Assistant General Counsel and Director of FERC Compliance. Before joining EPE, Ms. Kipp spent four years as a senior enforcement attorney in the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s Office of Enforcement in Washington, D.C., where she investigated and prosecuted violations of federal energy laws. Before entering government service, Ms. Kipp was an attorney at the international law firm of Greenberg Traurig LLP and at El Paso Natural Gas Company. Ms. Kipp received a bachelor’s of arts degree cum laude from Williams College in Massachusetts, a juris doctor degree from the University of Texas School of Law, and is an alumnus of Exeter College, University of Oxford. Ms. Kipp is a native of southern New Mexico and is a member of the Energy Bar Association. |
