NV Energy Hosts Workshops on New GIS Statewide Database NV Energy showcased its new GIS Statewide Database, Nevada Site Locator, at June workshops for brokers, developers and businesses interested in using the new interactive geographic information system (GIS) building and site database.
Nevada Site Locator (viewable at http://www.fastfacility.com/nvenergy/ ) is the state’s most advanced and only searchable GIS site selection database that is geared towards assisting businesses, brokers and developers searching for the perfect location or building, and for the first time it incorporates all 17 of Nevada’s counties into its database. NV Energy’s Economic Development Department was joined by designer and builder FastGIS to demonstrate how Nevada Site Locator uses Google mapping and “on the fly” radius county and business demographics when searching for specific sites or buildings. |
