The Energy Strategy Advisory Committee is charged with updating the State Energy Strategy (SES). The SES goals include maintaining competitive energy prices, fostering a clean energy economy and jobs, and meeting obligations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The SES will help policy makers chart Washington’s energy future. The Advisory Committee members are representative of a diverse range of energy interests and stakeholders. The committee will convene for approximately 18 months, beginning with meetings this month. A technical expert panel also will provide comprehensive technical and economic analysis to support the process. |
