By accessing or using the Western Energy Institute (WEI) Web site (http://www.westernenergy.org), you agree to the terms of this WEI Online Privacy Policy, as outlined below. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not access or use this site. WEI reserves the right to change the Online Privacy Policy from time to time at its sole discretion. Your use of this site will be subject to the most current version of the Online Privacy Policy at the time of such use.

Membership Policy
All WEI Membership dollars are nonrefundable. WEI Membership Dues are not deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes, but may be partially deductible as a business expense.

Collection of Contact Information
When you engage in certain activities on this site, such as registering for an event, WEI may ask you to provide certain information about yourself by filling out and submitting an online form. It is completely optional for you to engage in these activities. If you elect to engage in these activities, however, WEI may ask that you provide us contact information, such as your first and last name, mailing address (including zip code), e-mail address, employer, job title, telephone and facsimile numbers and other identifying information. When registering for events on the site, you may be asked to provide a credit card number. Depending upon the activity, some of the information that we ask you to provide is identified as mandatory and some as voluntary. If you do not provide the mandatory data with respect to a particular activity, you will not be able to engage in that activity.

How Your Contact Information is Used
WEI collects your information in order to record and support your participation in the activities you select. The information that you provide is also used as part of our effort to keep you informed about upcoming events, training opportunities and other announcements related to your field of work and/or other area(s) of interest within our association.

Your Choices with Respect to Contact Information
WEI recognizes and appreciates the importance of responsible use of information collected on this site. By submitting your contact information and/or event registration, you agree to be included in our WEI database. WEI may selectively provide certain information to other WEI member companies or member organizations in an effort to build networking opportunities for your benefit and the benefit of our members. If you do not want your contact information given to third party member companies and/or organizations, and you indicate this preference in the "additional comments" field of any submitted WEI form, WEI will honor your preference by not providing your information to such third parties.

Please note that any information you post to a WEI listserv is available to a limited group of members accessing that service.

Updating Your Contact Information

Privacy Related Complaints
If you believe that WEI has not complied with this Online Privacy Policy with respect to your contact information, you may write WEI at the address indicated above.

In your letter, please describe in as much detail as possible the ways in which you believe that the WEI Online Privacy Policy has not been complied with. We will investigate your complaint promptly.

Please note that if you provide WEI with inconsistent privacy references (for example, by indicating on one occasion that third party members may contact you and indicating on another occasion that they may not), WEI cannot guarantee that your most recent privacy preference will be honored.
