Mr. Cola began his career as a Student Engineer in the Distribution Mapping back in 1982. Most of his career he has been as a Project Manager, responsible for managing Seattle City Light’s planning and delivery on major inter/intra agency projects, such as Light Rail, Alaskan Way Viaduct, Seawall and a new Denny Substation.
In 2011 Mr. Cola was asked to take over and provide strategic leadership for City Light’s Asset Management division. This includes Asset Planning, Standards, and Asset Development. He provides direction for budget spending and strategic work plans to implement the execution of asset replacements and relocations such as the transmission, substation and distribution, while also directing other utility capital programs and projects to ensure utility wide prioritization of Capital and O&M dollars as and rate impacts.
He holds a BS in Industrial Engineering and enjoys coaching football and taking long rides on his motorcycle with his wife, Leanne and they have two teenagers (Natalie & Malcolm).
