Greg Kiraly is Senior Vice President of Electric Transmission & Distribution at Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
Kiraly oversees PG&E’s electric transmission and distribution system, which delivers safe and reliable energy to more than 16 million customers throughout Northern and Central California.
Since joining PG&E in 2008, Kiraly has been an integral part of the company’s efforts to improve electric reliability and foster a safety-first culture. Under his leadership, the frequency and duration of electric outages experienced by customers has steadily declined, and in 2014, the utility’s customers experienced the fewest number of outages in company history. He has also been a driving force behind the success of PG&E’s industrial and public safety initiatives in electric operations.
Before PG&E, Kiraly held executive-level positions in electric operations and energy delivery at
Commonwealth Edison in Chicago and leadership positions in both gas and electric at Public Service Electric and Gas Company in Newark, New Jersey.
Kiraly holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology and a master’s of business administration in finance from Seton Hall University. He is also a graduate of Harvard University’s Advanced Management Program.
