This session covers the first 5 years of an award-winning 10-year, enterprise-wide initiative to improve employees lives by making the workplace safer.

Participants leave with executive engagement strategies and tactics that can be easily adapted and implemented in their own organizations.

Rise of the Machines, Applications of EV and LiDAR Technology in Operational Excellence

This session highlights exciting new developments in fleet and field technology.

Our first topic is fleet electrification. Large vehicle electric propulsion technology is now available which matches or exceeds internal combustion vehicles in cost, performance, sustainability, and compliance. A California company has developed and brought to market a range of these technologies that are in service today.

Our second topic is LiDAR. LiDAR is a surveying method that measures distance to a target by illuminating that target with a pulsed laser light. It generates 3D pictures and has made large contributions in vegetation management and other analysis. Eric Woodyard from PG&E has the exciting details of how LiDAR has transformed their approach to vegetation management and related liabilities and risks.
