Professional Development – Presentations and Public Speaking (Sep 20)

We will be exploring the following themes through improv in this four-part workshop: Finding your Voice, Connecting with your Audience, Start with Heart, Think on Your Feet You will learn techniques to clarify your vision, organize your thinking, connect with audiences, and think on the fly. Though exercises, you will gain confidence to take up the space you deserve when presenting ideas. This condensed workshop will be focused on techniques to engage and inspire an audience, demonstrating clear leadership. The goal is for you to have an energetic and enjoyable learning experience that leads you to better manage teams, drive businesses through strong relationships, make sales, hold audiences, and give inspiring presentations. Participants should expect to be fully engaged during this virtual workshop. A web camera is strongly recommended to get the most out of the course.

  • No travel required. All agenda times are in Pacific time. Instructions to access the virtual event will be provided to the attendee before the program.
  • Who Should Attend
  • Members with a desire to learn and develop new skills as well as members that have professional development plans and goals that need to be addressed through training.

  • Registration Options
  • Member: $349 USD

    Registration includes online access and all digital meeting materials.

  • General Cancellation Policy
  • Due to contractual obligations, cancellations received 15 business days prior to the program will receive a full refund. Cancellations received 6 to 14 business days prior to the event will receive a refund, less a $100 administrative fee. No shows and last minute cancellations, 5 business days prior to the event or less, will be responsible for the full registration fee. Substitutions from your organization for the same event are always welcome.
  • Participation Policy
  • Western Energy Institute programs and events are open to energy companies (including gas production and electric generation, gas and electric transmission and gas and electric distribution utilities). Select programs and events are open to energy industry product and service suppliers. Programs and events are closed to all media representatives and to the general public. Recording is not permitted for any portion of the event.
