This fast paced lessons learned session will investigate three recent transmission line projects where things didn’t go according to plan. Each project will explore what occurred, how the problem was mitigated and what changes owners made to standards or processes as preventative measures for future work.

This session will focus on best practices, lessons learned, goals and future endeavors to enable the customer to self-serve and receive communications. Puget Sound Energy will present their “Get to Zero” initiative and “Integrated Work Management” project. These two efforts revolutionized customer experience and satisfaction by focusing on improvements to customer communication and self-service tools. EPCOR will present “Outage Map: Changes to Our IVR” and the “Release of the Outage Alerts.” FortisAlberta will present “Online and Live” – a customer portal for new connects that is tied to the project schedule and accessible to customers in real time.
