I have been employed at Avista Utilities since 2008. I started as an Electrical Engineer with the substation design group. After just six months I moved to the generation production team working as a controls and automation design engineer, which I did for nearly eight years. This consisted primarily of automation design in hydroelectric dams, including generators and plant auxiliary systems. In July of 2016, I was given the opportunity to manage the operation of Avista’s hydroelectric dams on the Spokane River, which is my current role.
I received my BS in Electrical Engineering in 2008, MBA in 2014, and professional engineering license (PE) in 2016. I am a proud father of a nearly 1 year old boy and happily married to my high school sweetheart.
