Andy Delmas is the Acting Assistant Fire Management Officer for the BLM in Idaho. Andy started his fire career in Cedarville California working on engines and helicopters and worked as a fire dispatcher in Susanville, and Yosemite National Park. He spent the last 20 years in Boise Idaho, mostly as the Fire Management Officer responsible for protecting 9 million acres in southwest Idaho. Andy is training to become a type 2 incident Commander and has extensive experience in prescribed fire and hazardous fuels management. He graduated with a master’s degree in Biology from Chico State, and a degree in Ecology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
