Brent Van Patten

Education and Professional: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Idaho, Master of Business Administration from Boise State University. 10 years experience in engineering consulting industry prior to joining Idaho Power. 4 years experience with Idaho Power’s hydroelectric construction management teams, 5 years leading Idaho Power’s Joint Use Department, 2 years leading Idaho Power’s Asset Management group, 2 years leading Idaho Power’s Station Construction Department, 1 year in current role of Construction Manager responsible for Idaho Power’s T&D Lines and Station Construction Departments. Participated in WEI Joint Use Conferences for 4 years serving as speaker, planning committee member, Conference Vice-Chair, and Conference Chair.

Personal: Married for 21 years, father of 4 children. Avid outdoorsman, enjoy camping, fishing, hunting and hobby farming. Enjoy attending kids’ activities – hockey, volleyball, track & field, and shooting sports. Coach rifle marksmanship at a local junior rifle club.
