Charles Bloomer

Chip Bloomer has 29 years of diverse experience in environmental management and engineering with 12 years direct utility experience. He holds a chemical engineering degree from Oregon State University. He championed the PCB elimination project at Portland General Electric (PGE), demonstrating to corporate officials and the Oregon Public Utility commission the need for its implementation. Chip is the lead for environmental assessments and permitting for all PGE’s Transmission and Distribution projects. He enjoys the unique challenges each project provides from saving endangered turtles to mitigating for lost wetland habitat.
