Christopher Drake

Chris Drake leads the Energy Efficiency and Energy Assistance implementation team at Avista. The efficiency effort includes design and delivery of demand side management programs for Avista’s residential, commercial and industrial customers. The team also serves Avista’s most vulnerable customers with energy assistance and outreach programs for low income and senior customers. Avista provides electric and natural gas service to about 400,000 customers in Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Chris has been with Avista for 22 years working in Hydro Licensing & Safety, Marketing, Power Supply and Demand Side Management. He graduated from Gonzaga University with a degree in communications and served as an Army Infantry officer before joining Avista. He lives in Spokane, WA with his wife and daughter and enjoys running, golfing and being an Irish dance dad.
