Dan Austin

Dan Austin leads the Electric Metering Department at Avista Corp. In this role Dan is responsible for leading both the field and engineering staff necessary to operate and maintain revenue metering systems. Dan has a diverse background highlighted by adaptability and transformational leadership beginning in 2004 when he lead US Army Special Operations teams through countless combat missions over an eight year period. After his military service Dan transitioned into the utility industry as an engineer but quickly moved into electric operations leadership. Recognizing the value of quality leaders Dan has strived to implement servant leadership and other techniques learned on the battlefield with our front line leaders.
