Dan MacDonald has been with Dominion Energy, formerly Questar Gas Company, for nearly 8 years including roles in distribution engineering, high pressure design and operations. Currently, he is the Manager of Gas Measurement & Regulation overseeing the meter reading, measurement & control, gas quality and automation departments. Prior to Dominion Energy, Dan spent two years with an industrial and medical gas supplier in various roles including startup engineer for a steam methane reformer and plant engineer for an Air Separation Unit. Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Utah and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Utah. He is a member of the Western Gas Measurement Short Course Board where he serves as the Regulation section chairman.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys road biking, mountain biking and hiking. He resides in a suburb of Salt Lake City with his wife and two boys.
