Darcy Byrne-Kelly

With over 20 years of engineering and project management experience, Ms. Byrne-Kelly is the Distribution Operation Control (DOC) Manager at Northwestern Energy (NWE). Joined NWE in 2007 as a quality control/safety engineer, then moved into a Project Management of the Distribution Infrastructure Program where she developed the plan, set the metrics and the project management reporting to manage the program, moved to manage the operations at Butte Division where she oversaw the electric and natural gas systems within the Division and recently became the DOC Manager where she manages the dispatchers and controllers for Montana and South Dakota. Her role is to lead in the development of the DOC team and oversee processes and procedures necessary for directing and controlling the operations for all of the electric and gas distribution systems in Montana and South Dakota. Prior to NWE she worked 14 years for DOE, EPA and DOD on both engineering and project management of projects. Darcy has a strong knowledge of and has been responsible for total management of programs and projects. She has experience in all aspects of financial forecasting, resource allocation, accounting and control and background distribution operations. Furthermore, supports new strategies to achieve company goals and objectives in a continuous changing industry. Darcy holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering, Masters Business Administration (MBA) and Project Management Certification. She is an active board member of the Big Brother and Big Sisters program. She is married, has two sons and two dogs.
