Deanna Orpen

Deanna Orpen is the Director of Operations and Maintenance (South) in Distribution Services at SaskPower, providing leadership to a team of 230 Power Line Technicians, Specialists and Managers responsible for a geographical area of 159,000 square kilometers and serving 260,000 customers. Deanna has been with SaskPower for 13 years and has served in a variety of different roles within the company starting in the Customer Service division. Shortly into her career, she joined Distribution Services in an administrative capacity until 2012, when the business unit launched a new workforce scheduling tool, and provincial dispatch center. She was promoted to manage this new department and was accountable for development of business processes and performance metrics related to workforce management. Her 6 years in this position provided Deanna with a broad perspective of operations, asset management and the electrical industry as a whole, preparing her for her next chapters as Manager of Distribution Operations and Maintenance in the Southeast part of Saskatchewan, and most recently Manager of Customer Relations and Business Policy.
