Devin Dukeshire

Devin joined BC Hydro in 2007 and in his current role is responsible for the safe delivery of capital construction projects, maintenance, and emergency support for Vancouver Island. Devin is also Construction Services subject matter expert for Transmission projects province wide. Prior to his current role, Devin was a Field Operations manager, managing Transmission Services largest portfolio for 7 years. Devin led the safe implementation of aircraft operations and was pivotal in developing procedures such as Platform, Hoist, and Class D Rescue which have positively changed the way work is executed in Transmission today. Devin’s resilience allows him to effectively lead teams of people through stressful situations and he is recognized as the Transmission SME for his counsel and technical guidance. He has successfully lead teams through major emergencies province wide such as the Fraser River Tower Failure and Samsung Narrows Conductor Failure.

Devin played a key role in implementing BC Hydro’s Transmission Maintenance program for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Then in 2014, Devin was seconded as the Project Manager for the ILM project where he was responsible for leading a team of Construction crews to deliver the Spuzzum section of the 500kV line. In this role, Devin frequently interacted with high profile clients and executives to ensure successful completion of the ILM project. Devin’s passion for safety and his instinctive ability to lead crews allowed him to achieve 230,000 man hours without a single time loss accident. As a result of this achievement, Devin was recognized with an Award of Honor in Safety.
