Ed Howker

Ed has over 26 years’ experience with BC Hydro. He began his career as a Power Line Technician in 1994. After a decade on the front lines, Ed joined management. Over the past 15 years he has managed various Line crews and Distribution teams in the Lower Mainland.
He also has spent 4 of those years in the Training Department overseeing the development and training needs for the PLT community in the province.
Ed has recently spent time with the Construction Services group and is currently working closely with the Power Cable Technician team overseeing the installation and maintenance of the Underground Cable network in the province.
Ed has a BA from Simon Fraser University (1993) and is a Red Seal qualified Power Line Technician in the province of British Columbia (1997).
Ed has 3 teenage boys which keeps him busy when not at work
