Elizabeth Peters serves as the Manager overseeing the development, implementation, ongoing management, and continuous improvement of San Diego Gas & Electric Company’s (SDG&E) enterprise-wide Safety Management System. Elizabeth studied Political Science at California State University San Marcos and then Business Litigation at the University of San Diego. Elizabeth joined the Sempra Energy family of companies in 2002 in the regulatory law department supporting SDG&E and Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) in state and federal regulatory proceedings before the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Upon convergence of Sempra Energy’s Renewable and Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) business units, she served as the Regulatory and Compliance Manager and helped develop their federal regulatory compliance program and supported FERC permitting efforts for Sempra’s Cameron LNG facility. Upon returning to SDG&E in 2018, Elizabeth served as a Regulatory Case Manager for SDG&E and SoCalGas’ General Rate Case and Risk Mitigation Assessment Phase proceedings before joining the safety department.
