Erik Guerra is the Supervisor of Electric Geospatial Information System Department for Puget Sound Energy. Erik’s team plays an instrumental role by recording and providing network information that allows the company to safely, dependably, and efficiently operate our electric system 24×7. This includes network planning, construction, operation, maintenance and damage prevention. The information provided by Erik’s team also supports data integrity initiatives, and allows the company to make the grid “smarter” as technology and customer expectations continue to evolve.
Erik has a background in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas –San Antonio. Erik transitioned to the power industry in 2012 and has extensive experience in all aspects of distribution system design, construction, and project management, which was gained while serving as a Project Manager for PSE’s North King County service territory which contains the most complex and critical elements of its distribution network.
