Gianni Del Bianco

Gianni is an Operations Manager, Pipelines (Transmission Operations) at FortisBC. In his current role, he is responsible for operations, maintenance and emergency response as related to the FortisBC Transmission pipeline system in British Columbia’s Lower Mainland region.

Gianni has worked at FortisBC for over 20 years and brings significant asset management and operational experience to his current role. Over the past 10 years, Gianni has held a variety of different roles in Operations, including roles in Distribution Installation/Construction Management, where his focus was also on the resolution and establishment of Labour Relations’ Collective Agreements as part of the Bargaining Team. In the past six years, Gianni has focused on Transmission operational concerns as Operations Manager, Pipelines. One highlight during this period of time was also the execution of the 2010 Olympic Operations Plan that involved detail consult with all Olympic Committee planning members, local and federal authorities, and other utility providers in the flawless execution of this operational plan.

Gianni has determinedly pursued operational excellence throughout his career in Distribution and Transmission Operations. He earned a Diploma of Technology in Building Economics from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and is a registered Applied Science Technologist. In his free time, he enjoys spending time and travelling with his family, golf, designing and building furniture and completing home renovations.
