Hal Snyder

Hal’s career in the gas/electric utility industry spanned 34 years, holding over 20 different management level positions that ranged from pipeline engineer to President. In 2018, Hal retired from the Southern California Gas Company as the Chief Human Resources & Administrative Officer.

His career included upper-level leadership positions across the America’s in Mexico, Canada, Uruguay and the United States. These positions included responsibilities in gas operations, gas transmission & storage, customer solutions, business development, employee health & safety, customer communications, supply management, human resources, labor relations, diversity/Inclusion, research, LNG project development, project management, organizational effectiveness, and clean transportation.

Most recently Hal has been conducting key note speeches for various companies, trade associations, and universities in support of the next generation of employees with a goal of changing lives and developing leaders one speech at a time.

Snyder has also served on various boards including the Canadian Gas Association, the California State Science Center, the Coalition for Clean Air, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and was on the California State University at Long Beach engineering school Dean’s advisory Committee. Hal holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from California State University, Long Beach, and a master’s degree in business administration from Pepperdine University, Los Angeles.
