Hannah Cooper is an Electrical Mechanic with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, with over 13 years in the electrical industry. Beginning her career in 2008, Hannah completed an IBEW Inside Wireman apprenticeship program and worked on commercial and industrial construction sites building schools, airports, hospitals, aerospace buildings, and aqueduct facilities first as a journeyman inside wireman and soon as a foreman. She decided to leave the private sector to join her local utility in 2017 where she completed the LADWP Electrical Mechanic Training Program which prepared her for her current role, in which she builds and maintains high voltage equipment inside receiving stations, distributing stations, and power generating facilities that feed the power grid for the City of Los Angeles.
