Jack Carmichael

Jack is the Incident Management Team Lead for BC Hydro’s Safety department. He oversees a group of safety professionals who manage the Incident Management System. This entails triaging reported incidents and conducting safety investigations in order to develop and implement corrective actions that help keep workers and the public safe and meet BC Hydro’s regulatory obligations.
Prior to joining Safety, Jack spent about 25 years working in Grid Operations as a Power System Operator and in Field Operations as a Distribution Line Manager. He has two grown children in university and lives in the seaside community of White Rock with his wife Susan.
