James Mardegan

I have been employed at Hydro One since 2006. I started in the field as Protection and Control Engineer where I was accountable to maintain and commission protection, control and telecom equipment. Over the years I transitioned into multiple roles and capacities including Project Manager, Change Consultant/Facilitator, Engineering Production Support Manager, Manager of Transmission Investment Capital Planning and most currently the Director of Project Delivery. Within my current role I manage a team of approximately 100 people accountable for Project Management and Outage Planning for the execution and delivery of the Transmission Stations, Transmission Lines and Distribution Stations capital portfolio within Hydro One.

Previous to joining Hydro One, I spent 5 years in the Automotive Sector designing, commissioning and launching automated robotic assembly lines for a variety of customers throughout North America.

I am a graduate from Lakehead University (Thunder Bay, ON) with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and hold a licence to practice as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario. I also hold a designation as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certificate in Organization Development.
