Javid Khan

Javid Khan is Senior Director, Strategy and Process Excellence (S&PE), for Pacific Gas and Electric Company. He is responsible for a variety of areas including leading the Gas Safety Excellence program, our Safety Management System which includes the improvement of our operations to the asset management standards of PAS55 and ISO55001, operational risk management, improving the performance of key business processes, the lead for the 5 year strategy setting process for Gas Operations and managing a successful Enterprise-wide Corrective Action Program and Records Management to world-class standards.

Javid comes to PG&E with more than 13 years’ experience in the power, infrastructure and utility industry across the UK, Europe, Middle East and US. Prior to working at PG&E, Javid worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers; leading and advising on engagements, with an international set of clients, across the utility and power sector in the areas of Strategy and Enterprise Asset Management.

Javid holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Liverpool, UK and received his MBA from Warwick Business School, UK. Javid is a registered Chartered Engineer with the UK Engineering Council and Institute of Mechanical Engineers, a Fellow of the Strategic Planning Society, and a Member of the Institute of Asset Management.
