Jeff Borders

Jeff Borders is Director of Electric Asset Excellence within Electric Asset Management, for Pacific Gas and Electric Company.

Jeff has been with Pacific Gas and Electric Company since 1989 and has over 29 years of experience in the gas and electric utility business including construction, engineering, strategic business management and asset management.

Jeff currently leads an effort to achieve Publicly Available Specification (PAS) 55 and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 55001 certification of PG&E’s electric transmission and distribution business. Prior to his current role, Jeff led a diverse group of electric standards engineers in electric distribution, transmission and substation, focusing on system and component engineering standards and compliance processes.

Jeff has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Davis. Jeff is a registered professional mechanical engineer in the State of California and is a member of the IEEE Power Engineering Society.
