Jennifer Hendricks

Jennifer grew up on a farm in rural southern Alberta and gained an early awareness of the natural world which became the foundation for a career in environmental management. During her 10 years working as an environmental consultant, Jennifer developed a reputation as a strong team player with a down to earth style. She led environmental planning and permitting for a variety of projects including oil sands mines, large pipelines, transmission lines and urban development projects. In 2010, Jennifer took on a lead role managing FortisAlberta’s environmental portfolio. During her three year tenure in this role, Jennifer was recognized for her ability to engage stakeholders and collaborate to find practical environmental solutions.

Jennifer realized a passion to connect the business more closely with its customers which led to her current position as Manager of Major Accounts at FortisAlberta in 2013. Her team of 11 is accountable to manage the relationships with 500 major customers while also maintaining a keen focus on a dynamic group of key accounts. Jennifer’s emphasis on team-building and her commitment to meeting customer and market demands are key to her success in this role. Jennifer is a registered Professional Biologist in Alberta and holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science from the University of Lethbridge. She is a member of the Canadian Electricity Association and a co-chair of FortisAlberta’s Women in Leadership group.
