Jenny Macy is a communication systems design Electrical Engineer with Burns and McDonnell, an engineering consulting firm. She specializes in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), substation communications, and wide-area networks for electric utilities. She works with utility clients on projects ranging from upgrading SCADA and metering systems to designing microwave network systems to developing substation telecommunications standards. She has recently moved from the headquarters in Kansas City to Denver to help develop a Telecom and Network Engineering group to support transmission and distribution clients in the area.
Jenny enjoys STEM outreach for middle and high school students, and particularly, working with young girls to foster interest in engineering. She has a degree from Washington University in Saint Louis and is a licensed Professional Electrical Engineer.
