Jon Jamieson

Jon Jamieson is a Transmission System Operator at Southern California Edison (SCE) with the responsibility of managing the real-time transmission, sub-transmission, and distribution grid in the Orange County, California region. Jon is also actively involved in System Operator training and serves as a spot instructor for initial training classes as well as presenter of recurrent-refresher training topics. He is a subject matter expert for the SCE Grid Modernization and Distribution Energy Resource Management efforts. Aside from training, Jon is considered a safety leader and serves on the SCE Grid Ops Safety Congress, Safety Congress Steering Team, and Safety Oversight Council. As a NERC certified Reliability Coordinator, Jon is also involved in the North American Transmission Forum (NATF) with a focus on operations training. Jon has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences from the University of California Riverside and an Associate in Applied Science with an emphasis on Electrical Transmission System Technology from Bismarck State College. He is also the author of two books, the last being published in November 2018.
