Jose Costa

José Costa is Vice President Operations Services for the Northeast Gas Association (NGA). José is responsible for NGA’s Operations and Sales & Marketing activities. He has been with NGA for over sixteen years.
NGA is a regional trade association that focuses on education and training, technology research and development, and increasing public awareness of natural gas in the Northeast U.S.
Prior to his current position, José worked for over two years as Gas Research Institute (GRI) Regional Manager, Customer Relations. His responsibilities included the transfer of natural gas technology to the field and being a voice for utilities at GRI.
Prior to joining GRI, Jose worked six years for Colonial Gas Company in Massachusetts which is today part of the National Grid family.
José earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts. He recently completed in May 2016 a Public Relations Graduate Program at Lasell College.
José is married with three sons and enjoys golf, when time allows. He is active in his local community, with his church, past chairman of the public school board, past chairman of the New England Society of Association Executives Board of Directors and current chairman of the State of Massachusetts Citizen Advisory Board for adults with disabilities.
