I have been with the Southern California Gas Company for 25 years. I began my career as a Construction Technician with cross training in Customer Service as a Field Technician. After 10 years, I transitioned into management as a Field Operations Supervisor managing gas construction crews. Five years later, I transferred to Dispatch as a Dispatch Supervisor. After three years, I went into Technical Services as a Technical Supervisor. Then, I was asked join Operational Excellence to work on the Scheduling and Dispatch project to transition from paper based orders to electronic orders. After the project was deployed, I joined the newly created Gas Operations Staff department as a Technical Advisor to support field employees with the newly deployed technology. Then I was asked to be the Area Resource Manager for the Northwest Region. I managed two Dispatch Offices which cover west Los Angeles county to the north consisting of the San Joaquin Valley. I am now the Distribution Integrity Management Program Manager. My department utilizes the Distribution Risk Evaluation and Monitoring System (DREAMS) to prioritize the planning and construction of our vintage medium pressure main and service pipeline replacements company wide. I have 5 management direct reports and 70 indirect reports.
