Joseph Scalise is a partner in the San Francisco office of Bain & Company, Inc. He joined the firm in 1997 and has worked across Bain’s North America offices in Boston, New York and Dallas as well as internationally in Bain’s Johannesburg office and with teams in Europe and Asia.
Joseph is Head of the North American Utilities Practice and has led assignments across a wide range of issues in the sector across strategy, operations and organization:
– Strategy and M&A: Industry structure and future state scenario planning
– Business Transformation: Integration across strategy, operations and change management
– Continuous Improvement: Productivity and cost in core front line and back-office functions
– Markets and Commodities: Growth and profitability for energy and commodity trading groups
Joe holds an MBA from Wharton and BA in Economics from Lehigh University. Prior to Bain he worked at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington DC where he specialized in regulated industry economics. He lives in San Francisco with his wife and two sons.
