Karen Schuh

Karen has more than 20 years of experience in accounting, finance, utility regulation, and project delivery. Karen has led teams in audit, capital regulatory recovery strategy, settlement negotiations and witness preparation for general rate case hearings, various companywide process improvement initiatives, and standardizing project management practice. In addition, she has both led and participated in initiatives to standardize a framework for capital allocation prioritization, redesigned business case governance to meet prudency requirements, and advised on how improving project delivery practice can deliver greater predictability and results for Avista and Avista’s customers. As a member of the IT Project Management Office over the past two years she worked closely with IT project managers to enhance documentation, account for costs, sharpen forecasts, and align with technology roadmaps.
