Kaz Kazmierski

Kaz has been with PG&E for four and a half years, and has more than 31 years of Transmission and Distribution operational experience in the utility industry. Kaz started out as a lineman from the Midwest, and wore many leadership hats at WE Energies and at a utility contractor in Wisconsin. At PG&E, he’s been with Corporate Safety for just under a year, after lending his operations expertise to numerous cross-LOB safety projects. One of these safety projects has evolved into a preventative health success – Industrial Athlete – which he’ll be talking about today. He’s focused now on streamlining and codifying his role in Corporate Safety organization. Kaz has a great passion for safety and employee engagement. He’s the Director lead for the PG&E/IBEW Local 1245 West Coast Lineman’s Rodeo, where linemen from utilities up and down the coast demonstrate represent their craft with safety as number 1. He’s committed to unlocking his teams’ potential, having recently earned his Lean Six Sigma – Green Belt certification and a certificate for leading transformational change in large organizations. He thrives in the outdoors, enjoys golf and road trips on his Harley, and values time with his family. He is a strong supporter of the safety culture, and health and wellness work in progress across PG&E.
