Kellie Cloud

Kellie Cloud is the Senior Director of Engineering Services at Portland General Electric (PGE), overseeing design and asset management functions for generation, transmission and distribution. She is a purpose-driven leader committed to positively impacting her community as we decarbonize and modernize the electric grid. Kellie is one of PGE’s Incident Commanders for major outage events, and her team is increasingly focused on improving resilience.

Kellie graduated Magna cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science from Trinity University. She specialized in control systems and worked briefly as an instrumentation engineer in the oil & gas industry before returning to Oregon to work as a substation design consultant. Kellie started her career at PGE in 2003 as a protection engineer and developed a passion for leadership after a temporary customer service assignment. As manager of various engineering and field operations teams, she drove improvements related to quality assurance, compliance, customer service and cybersecurity. As director, Kellie is focused on engineering talent and organizational development to enable transformation of the electric utility industry.

An advocate for diversity and STEM education, Kellie supports National Engineer’s Month, the Girl Scouts, and the Multiple Engineering Cooperative Program (MECOP). She currently serves on the board for PHAME, a fine and performing arts academy for adults with disabilities, and the Dean’s Leadership Council for Oregon State University’s college of engineering. Kellie is a seventh generation Oregonian and second-generation engineer with a family hazelnut orchard in the Willamette Valley.
