Lamis El Didi is a Principal with Exponent’s Construction Consulting practice. She advises clients on a range of construction topics throughout the entire project life cycle ranging from project portfolio management, program management, project controls, project scheduling, change management, and risk management. She has assessed, developed, and implemented project and program controls on large scale capital projects and programs such as the California High Speed Rail Project, including defining performance metrics, developing tailored process and procedures, developing project and program level reporting, and providing contract oversight. She has assisted clients with baseline development, business case development, scenario planning and resource balancing, unit cost and schedule benchmarking, document management and information management systems assessment and implementation, earned value management implementation, and training. She has also provided risk analysis services such as probabilistic scheduling, Monte Carlo simulations, and schedule and cost risk assessments, on large projects including Silicon Valley Berryessa BART Extension, Transbay Terminal, and Embarcadero-Potrero Substation Project in the Bay Area. Prior to Exponent, Lamis held several roles within the project management department at Dar Al Handasah in Cairo, Egypt and at Booz Allen in Cairo and Dubai. Lamis received a B.Sc. in Construction Engineering from the American University in Cairo (AUC) and holds a M.Sc. in Engineering & Project Management from the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley).
