Lamis El Didi

Lamis El Didi assembles and manages multi-disciplinary teams to solve the complex engineering, science, regulatory, and business issues facing utility clients today. Ms. El Didi advises clients throughout the entire capital investment and execution process from strategy and planning, project development, and investment plan development to work plan development, project execution, and change control. She has assessed, developed, and managed large scale capital projects and programs, including defining performance metrics, developing tailored process and procedures, developing project and program level reporting, and providing contract oversight. Ms. El Didi has assisted utility clients define the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and develop the reporting framework and roll-up from project to program to portfolio level for a multi-billion dollar electric transmission and distribution portfolio to facilitate the evaluation of work progress, identification of execution risks, development of mitigation strategies, and improve forecasting and achieving the annual budgets. She has led project business case development, portfolio scenario planning and resource balancing sessions, and conducted unit cost and schedule benchmarking and developed a tool that uses predictive analytics to forecast new projects for electric transmission and substation projects. Ms. El Didi has also led a multi-year data improvement initiative for the Transmission Integrity Management Program within a utility’s Gas Operations, that identified, collected, digitized, prepared and delivered critical historical documents and datasets for incorporation in GIS to better inform the utility’s risk algorithm and enable predictive risk intelligence. She has also provided risk analysis services such as probabilistic scheduling, Monte Carlo simulations, and schedule and cost risk assessments, on several large electric transmission and substation projects. Prior to Exponent, Lamis held several roles within the project management department at Dar Al Handasah in Cairo, Egypt and at Booz Allen in Cairo and Dubai. Lamis received a B.Sc. in Construction Engineering from the American University in Cairo (AUC) and holds a M.Sc. in Engineering & Project Management from the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley).
