Laurie Rodriguez

Laurie Rodriguez currently provides vision, leadership, direction and management oversight for recruitment, hiring, classification, employee benefits, fair employment, policy, payroll, employee/labor relations, culture, learning & development as the Director of Human Resources at SMUD – the nation’s sixth largest community-owned electric utility. She also serves as the company’s Inclusion Officer and is responsible for embedding diversity and inclusion into enterprise-wide strategies, services and solutions. Laurie brings 20 years of experience in the areas of strategic and operational Human Resources, Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness and has successfully provided extensive workforce support to medium and large operations in a number of industries throughout her career. Her informal ”roll up your sleeves and get it done” manner is people-centric, effective and marked by a high level of energy.
