Lea Petersen

Lea Petersen’s primary responsibility is to advance Southern California Gas company’s (SoCalGas) business and legislative interests before local, state and federal government officials, taking leadership roles in community & charitable organizations promoting economic development, job growth, higher education, supporting SoCalGas’s 22 million customers in over 500 communities. Lea is also responsible for addressing construction issues, negotiating permits/fees, Franchise contracts. Working with business organizations & the media educates the public on energy efficiency, natural gas & renewable energy alternatives. Lea is a federally trained emergency responder working with Police, Fire, Emergency Crews as part of Incident Command responding to hundreds of crises, mass evacuations, wildfires, earthquakes, major mudslides, gas leaks and other natural gas infrastructure disasters.
