Luis Lara is a Sr. Business Analyst for the Outage Communications Team within SCE’s Business Customer Division (BCD). His primary role is to support commercial and government customers on escalated outage-related issues as well as educate customers on SCE’s wildfire mitigation strategy and Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) protocol. Luis began his career with SCE 12 years ago in Public Affairs and then moved onto BCD.
The Outage Communications Team functions as the primary conduit to address outage-related inquiries from commercial, government, and internal stakeholders. The Outage Communications Team also operates as SCE’s liaison to educate customers on outage processes, multi-phase outage impacts in communities, grid modernization and how SCE supports state-wide, operational safety initiatives. Given the team’s unique position within SCE the team has been tasked to oversee BCD’s Business Resiliency program that will help guide and engage SCE’s Business Customer Division with emergency operation centers during times of crisis.
