Marc Hendon

Marc Hendon is a Risk Manager for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP). He graduated from California State University, Northridge with a master’s degree in Environmental and Occupational Health. Marc started his career in 1999 when he joined the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California as a Health and Safety Engineer. In 2001, Marc was hired by LADWP to serve as Industrial Hygienist during which time he attended law school and earned his Juris Doctorate degree. He is a member of the California State Bar as well as a Certified Industrial Hygienist. Marc currently oversees LADWP’s Corporate Safety Office and is a member of the company’s COVID Task Force. The efforts of his team were integral to LADWP’s achievement of the United States Green Building Council’s Sustainable Innovation award for Indoor Air Quality as well as Electrical Power Research Institute Technology Transfer Awards for Heat Stress Management and Ergonomic Interventions.
