Michael Ansbergs joined Portland General Electric in 2015 as a supervisor of transmission engineering & specialized design. In August 2016, his role expanded to include oversight of a larger group, T&D Project Engineering, that’s responsible for engineering, design, and project management of transmission and distribution projects, various capital programs, and large municipal and key customer projects. Prior to joining PGE, he worked for PacifiCorp in their engineering organization.
Michael has 17+ years of experience in project management, cost estimating, and engineering in the electrical industry. This includes time spent working directly for an electrical contractor, and large industrial customer prior to joining the utility sector. In addition to his management duties, he also represents PGE as the liaison for Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) projects.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Eastern Oregon University, a certificate in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technology from Stanford University, and is currently pursuing an MBA through the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
